Across the campus, you can hear when the upper grade students are playing Tsidił, also referred to as a Navajo Stick Game, because they shout out in excitement.

Kyzo, on the extreme right, is leading a "Guess the Color in Diné" activity (he draws color cards which he shows the students) and Stevie, in the middle, is so excited to provide the correct answer. The two on the left are anxiously waiting to hear whether she gets it right.

Our kindergarten and first grade students have been learning about the Navajo Nation flag. By the way, our flag is nearly 50 years old, it was adopted by the Navajo Nation Council on May 21, 1968.

Our students are busy writing about the beginning, middle and end of stories they're listening to and reading on their own. We love how our Diné language and culture studies influence students to dress up for school. They're proud to wear their turquoise and silver!

Earth Day is Every Day Our students spent several hours troweling weeds in the yard as part of their community service but since then we've had a lot of rain so the weeds are back in full force. They learn to keep their surroundings tidy following the teachings of their elders.
